Last year I saved and saved, got injection after injection and got fairly over excited for my mammoth 5 month trip to India. North to South, East to West me and my bestest pal were going to cover it all and we really did. No region was left untouched. Ok exaggeration. We did as much as we could. Anyway more on that later...
This picture sums up my views on travelling...
So she's at it again. I'm saving money, I'm buying sun cream while its cheap throughout Winter and I'm dreaming about lassis at sunset or diving with humpback whales at sunrise. Cliche and tragic but come on, leave now if you wouldn't want to be there now.
So there are two options. Nepal or Kenya. Two very different trips. Nepal will be mountainous and we would try make it to Everest base camp. Kenya would be full of beaches and deep sea diving with fish and the natives.
One thing... I am used to diving in the Andamans (where I learnt last year) which I hear is one of the best places to dive in the world.
And in Nepal its off season.
Dilemas. Dilemas. Dilemas.
*where will I find the best fish*
I do love a good trout. Irish or Kashmiri I would take a good bit of trout over salmon any day.
I digress
...not a fan of mackerel...
I am a girl of traditional values. My favourite places in India were where you could not avoid the tradition and you could not get served Western food. The places were you felt safe without having to see a group of other tourists. I could talk for years on those places.
So that's what I'm looking for from my next trip. Beautiful people, food and cultures substantially different to home. Oh and some sun would be fantastic too.
I'll keep you posted and promise to tell you more about my India exploration.
